lovingkindness

 my heart expands... every time i hang out with beatrice...

this weekend we took my parents out to dinner to celebrate their

50th anniversary... during the day

we hung out at the griswold museum on a hunt for all of the

birdhouses on display throughout the garden and grounds...

this is my favorite shot from the day, besides the one of us

together... i can't believe she is almost 8 years old.

time flies when your heart grows...

and then on sunday it was a day in the city with

claudine and joelle (and over a hundred others)

singing and meditating with

KD and sharon salzberg at dharma west...

many of my friends are exploring, expanding, growing,

searching, finding, cultivating and questioning...

this one is for them:

"when one moves on a spiritual path, one is moving in an ocean

of blessings. The Buddha said that "such a one goes everywhere

with safety." Contemplating the possibility of such blessings and

such safety is itself a source of happiness. So counting our 

blessings cultivates gratitude and happiness in us, which opens

us to joy when others are blessed."
