i needed a bit of me time this weekend... which included a
studio visit of some friends... at open studio weekend in beacon...
orion was having fun with bouncy time on the studio table... he
even did a little crawl for us!
saw this quote in the studio along with some other cool paintings...
then we went to the Dia Art Center down the street,
which was fun and inspiring...
some intense sol lewitt...
and incredible richard serra sculptures...
finished a commission (which i hope he likes and purchases...)
this was a drawing i did while i was teaching a private lesson...
i like it - it reminds me of my art school days.
a drawing we did while waiting for yummy vietnamese dumplings
and pho. drawing in a journal helps time move quickly.
and today in my studio... was really needed...
reflecting, listening to music, getting lost in the process...
there were some sad moments, but it is all part of it embracing
the dark and the light...
i am so happy to be done with half of my children's book paintings...
my goal is to be done and have it printed by the end of november...
hope i can make my deadline!
sending you some love...
and wishing for all to be happy and peaceful

Beautiful work and wonderful experiences, thank you for sharing and bettering the world by who you are:)
Thank you for this honest and beautiful portrayal of your life-changing trip. I love reading how your perspective changed during the experience. I imagine it’s hard to fathom one’s expectations ahead of time for something so massive, so abstract, so distant.
