sad heart = production mode

when your heart is sad... sometimes it's good to throw yourself
into creating things... so that's where i'm at today...
here's the whole set (5 new ones carved in the past two days)

from left to right:
radha, sita, saraswati, brahma, ganesha
hanuman, shiva, krishna, durga, lakshmi
buddha, kali, rama, nandi, vishnu

all birthed from my hands... took lots of images for
reference, but hand drew them all.

experimenting with stamps on colored backgrounds...
not sure how i am feeling about these... will continue to
investigate layers...
all of my small boards to play with...
my children's book boards - ready to have their final
pictures painted onto them. it's a bit daunting, but i must
keep going...

sending love,
j

What a beautiful way to alchemize and be with sadness. I'm so glad you're moving forward with your luminous book.

I'm so sorry you're sad, Jennifer. whatever the cause, know that I send love and chants to Tara for you. The stamps you carved are sooooo gorgeous; making beauty out of sadness is the best way to get through it, i think. xo

thank you will - i love you too.

thanks alice - yes - it will be finished by the end of summer!

thank you sharmon - for the chants - yes, trying to make beauty out of sadness is the only way to go with me... other than parking in front of the movie screen with a snack, which happens often too:)
