fun with color

i had so much fun adding stamp backgrounds
and color to my god/goddess series...
it was artmaking for pure enjoyment:)

i am still battling my sugar addiction... one moment
at a time. 2 weeks, almost completely sugar free.
really wanted to eat it tonight after seeing two
women enjoying chocolate cake at the restaurant...
but my sustained energy each day is keeping me
from doing it.

namaste,
j

Jennifer, I learned something in class last week that I think is really going to help you if you feel sugar addiction is an issue — there's an Indian herb called
Gymnema sylvestre that works as a "sugar destroyer." If you take the tincture you literally can't taste the sweet in things (we tried it in class with grapes and honey) and it is said to reduce sugar cravings and balance blood sugar. I was hoping the Goldthread online store had it in stock, but they don't - you can find it easily online though! Good luck!

I love this collection of Gods/Godesses! You say you stamped the backgrounds? Is that done prior to drawing the face itself? Would you mind sharing the process please? Since you are a teacher and I am always thirsty to learn, I wonder if you would please consider doing a tutorial of a painting from start to finish or perhaps a video of the process so we could learn from you? I know I am asking so much of your time but couldn't help asking :)
