i painted it this summer from a photo
of a statue i took on my trip last year in india.
i had it on etsy and the asst. art director
from nbc/dreamworks contacted me
about using it for background dressing
for the set of a new pilot called, "smash"....
it didn't bring in lots of money, but
i am excited about the possibility of
people being able to see it...
i won't be able to, because i don't have
t.v., but i'm hoping that the series runs
and it (as well as the handmade thank
you card i sent with it) will end up
being seen by lots of people...
it's not why i make art, but it's nice
to get it out there into the universe:)

How exciting that they want to put this beautiful piece on TV! We do make art to share, so it's wonderful that so many people will be able to see it. Do you know if it will be in the opening credits, or what? Do you know when the pilot will be on? I hope the show is on regular TV (I don't have cable.) Congratulations!
thanks - even though i don't have a tv, it will be exciting! if the pilot gets made into a series, it will air in the fall - not sure if it will be out before sept... it is being used as part of the set design... so hanging in someone's office maybe? can't wait to see what they do with it!
