gearing up for all things new

i spent a large part of my day continuing my
purge, organize and cleaning ritual that i began
a few months ago. i am realizing that this is
as much of a practice as my yoga, kirtan and
mindfulness path...
i unloaded all of the bags i bring to school, carry
to the city, and everywhere else i go... and couldn't
believe how much 'stuff' came out of them!
i am just bad at putting things in their place, when i
am done - yes, mom - i'm still workin on that one!
so... trying to get all of the 'places' to put stuff cleaned
out and organized... but yes, it will be an ongoing struggle.
the good thing is having a bunch of my favorite bags
cleaned out and ready for an adventure!
 ready for new chalkboard drawings...
and a brand new calendar for the new year!
it's almost as fun and exciting as having a blank canvas
to paint:)
a clean and organized little space to make music
or to just admire the instruments, which are all
works of art...
and blank cards for me to follow up on my children's
book submission to the four remaining publishing
companies that i haven't heard from.

tomorrow is going to be filled with little rituals
to start my new year off in a positive manner...
hoping that you all have a beautiful new year's eve
and a fantastic start to a brand new year!!!!!

I love how you're creating a space for more creativity to fill. Lots of light for your children's book follow-up. The cards are what Richard Carlson calls "purple snowflakes." They stand out in all the right ways.

Happy and full-of-fun-surprises New Year!
