i'm afraid that this is as close to the beach as i
will get anytime soon...
we were at a science museum on long island
yesterday with my students... they dissected sharks,
i sat out in the hallway reading and making my
hanuman books. afterwards, we went to the nassau art
museum to see a show on the civil war painted by
mort kunsler. his paintings were not my cup of tea,
but i so admired him as an artist. he's made over
5000 painting in his lifetime and he's still going strong...
he had a sweet soul - like my grandfather...
it's funny, my grandpa lived at the beach:)
