diwali gratitude
i am so grateful for...
1. our house on the hill that sparkled in the night
sky... full of light to symbolize what we were celebrating
2. a house full of lovely, like-minded, open-hearted
friends to share in the celebration.
3. all of the yummy dishes of food that we were blessed
with, especially since so many people go without
food on a daily basis (and being aware of this)
4. being able to celebrate a holiday that means
something to me deep down to my core...
to be aware of our "light within"
and that i get to do this for 4 more days!
5. candles, incense, nadachadi, tea, and the brisk fall air
6. the red string ceremony we had in the wee hours
and female energy filling the room
7. krishna, durga, ram, hanuman, ganesha, dhanvantari,
kali, gajendra, saraswati and lakshmi
8. Will, for being supportive of my love of all things Indian...
9. new friends + old friends = community
10. nursing a dessert hangover this morning
with some chai and knowing that as soon as i feel
hungry, there is still carrot cake in the fridge:)
11. doing mehndi again
12. trusting that the universe is unfolding perfectly
(although, i am continually working on that one)
namaste and happy diwali!!!!!!!
