student word paintings

these are words that my students painted...
they were extracted from our
school's mission statement and painted in groups of 4 - 15 kids...
each group of students got to vote on
which word they would paint...
they are all on 12" x 36" x 2" canvases
and will hang in the hallways of our school...
the kids painted the backgrounds and the words...
i ran out of large canvases, & these were donated to our
classroom by a parent so we spelled out some more words
from the mission..
this one is my favorite...
this is the mission statement...
the 7th graders painted the background and then
printed their hands... then projected the words up onto
this huge canvas and painted them...
this is our logo - done by the 6th graders...
i can't believe the awesome job they did with it!
they had so much fun with the splatter painting part of it...
some more words done in previous years... some recycled
canvases we put words onto. i did the joy one:)
hope you enjoy what i've been doing with my students
these past few weeks!
