rubin museum

these are some of the things that inspired me
last night on my artist adventure to nyc...
we went to see the opening of "Tradition Transformed,"
Tibetan Artists Respond at the Rubin Museum.
i didn't have permission to take photos so
i just wanted to share some details
Tsherin Sherpa
gonkar gyatso
Tenzin Norbu
Pema Rinzin (my friend and Thangka teacher)
Losang Gyatso (i loved this woman's outfit!)

and these inspired me too:)
carved relief prints...
 reflections
 signs...
 shadows
golden buddhas
street art....

This must have been an awesome show. I have seen so many ancient Tibetan Buddhist artifacts but modern art has so much potential! Thanks for sharing.
