after a long week, i went to a kirtan last night...
i got to sit up front with the musicians and sing...
it was such a magical feeling - indescribable by words
i tapped my feet with ankle bells and sang the
hanuman chalisa with satya (without reading it,
and only messing up 3 times!)...
at the end of the night, i was able to take this
beautiful instrument home to borrow
and learn to play. i cannot wait...
this instrument came from india...
it's heavy and has such an amazing vibe.

unfortunately, my artwork took a "way back seat"
this week - and may have to while i am smitten with
the bright red harmonium in my studio right now...
(do you remember driving in those long station wagons
with the fake wood on the side? i was always psyched
to be able to sit in the way back...)
