i've been away from blogging - out experiencing life
went to kripalu for the "sacred music festival" and it
was soulfantastic! for one whole week i danced, chanted my heart out, did some gentle yoga meditated, drummed, swam, relaxed, ate yummy food,
and connected with some very beautiful people (hi valerie!)

got to live a dream by singing the "hanuman chalisa" a forty line sanskrit mantra
with krishna das (who was such a great sport and took some photos with me)
it was a room full of people and krishna das and i were the only ones singing, besides nina, his
assistant who was singing with her beautiful voice very quietly...
i had learned and practiced it for months before getting this chance!!!

there were buddha's and shiva statues everywhere... ahh

john de kadt's frame drum workshop... i couldn't get the hang of playing one,
but it was awesome to listen to him recite his poetry with his steel drum

so many drums - so little time!

the peaceful lake that i swam in (once), meditated and sang with...

Wah rocking down the house, after letting us have it for not singing with her - you go woman!
i love her music!!!

journey dancing with toni bergins... at the closing ceremony. that was an incredible experience. i loved how she inspired us to shake all of the bad stuff out (especially the little bits and pieces we had left after the week so that we could return to the real world a bit freer)
i really hope they have it again next year!!!!!!!
