i am so overwhelmingly grateful for:
1. all of the beautiful souls that showed up to the exhibition
from nearby and some from very far away...
2. the generosity of their hearts - giving gifts and purchasing art...
3. feeling loved and supported and grounded by their energies...
4. my parents - esp. my dad saying that he was proud of me:)
5. my students - their sweetness - they have no idea how much
it meant to me that they were present.
6. will's offers to help...
7. everyone who played music at the kirtan that lifted our spirits
on that very heavy day...
8. jeannie's hard work and major help with hanging the art,
i could not have done it without her
9. the australian guru and her senior disciple, shakti durga and parvati -
for clearing out more old energy, sadness and fear and
opening my throat chakra so that i could breathe better...
what an amazing way to end such an already incredible day...
10. feeling a little post - exhibit blues this morning
that turned into gratitude before the day was over:)
ESPECIALLY since - i finally have found my spiritual path of
being a devotional artist - a bhakti painter!
and last but not least...
11. the day being so filled with love, when just 10 years ago
it was filled with a tremendous amount of fear, grief and tragedy...
even though those feelings still linger... i felt a big shift last night
of just the opposite emotions - in the universe...
i have not forgotten what happened and i dedicate all of the power harnessed
from the gods and goddesses in my paintings to help heal all beings who
were touched by the events of 9/11.
may we have the strength to choose light, love and joy
over fear, anger and numbness...

a reality and a success - including will, my family + friends,
melissa and james for the invitation to show my work, jeannie for
being such an amazing curator, the kirtan wallahs, my bhakti soulmates
and my students + their parents who showed up to give their support.
