this is what i've been up to for 3 years... (since my last art show)
3 painting series, each one done on my return from each trip to india...
and it will all be in an exhibition in september - all 50 pieces!!!!!
i spent the last week in the workshop making frames...
it was quite a lot of work.
i like how they don't have to be hung on the wall, but they
can also be placed on a shelf or an altar...
will said that they seem to 'hover' and that's exactly
the feeling i was going for - to make the frame almost
invisible so that you focus on the art...

the large ones were really challenging to make,
but it feels to good to be done (almost - 2 more big ones to finish)
and great that i've been able to do it mostly on my own,
with some tutelage by will and his awesome power tools.
only ones missing are the big elephant and hanuman.
i also have to finish the hanuman + peacock paintings
i hope there's enough room at the conservatory for
all of this work!
hope you are having a productive
or relaxing day (i'm going for the latter...)
but knowing me, i won't sit still for long
namaste,

Wow, this is just an amazing collection, so inspiring! And I love that you can make your own frames.
They're gorgeous, Jennifer. Congratulations on the exhibition and the sense of completion and fulfillment. Have a relaxing weekend.
amazing work. it all looks so good together and love the framing. yes, such hard, mechanical work but you saved megabucks by doing it yourself.
congrats on the exhibit upcoming.
thanks all - it's been a long road these three years in so many ways and i'm so happy that it was expressed with color...
i cheated and bought frames for the hand series, but i can reuse them over and over again for my next children's book series!
