yesterday, after finally finishing my student comments, which
took WEEKS to do... i celebrated with a little art making session...
remember my studio mate from last summer - the groundhog
who showed up on my front steps?
well, these are his offspring... i think there were 7, but one
didn't make it across a neighbor's driveway... so now there are 6
they were absolutely still as i crept closer to get this shot.
very cute... and they are loving the clover that Will planted all over
the front and back lawn.
instead of going out to the back studio (every room in my house is
now a studio, including the bathroom!) i decided to work in the dining
room. the table is huge and it was already covered from our test run of
arts + crafts night.
these are all large sheets of magnet that will be cut into smaller ones,
each with a word on it. i was really frustrated, because the first layer of
paint was so easy to scratch off. downright pissed because of all the
work i had done and money spent... but Will told me to let them 'cure'
overnight and i think it may have worked:)
our new palm tree that the cat likes to chew on and throw up:(
either mom or dad chillin out in the front yard feasting on clover...
it was a good lesson in patience - waiting for my color to cure...
so i watched bad t.v. shows streamed from netflix and went to bed
really late.
cheap paint + vinyl = not a good mix!
pretty shadows and sunlight dancing in the room...
i'm back to work on the magnets today - hoping it goes smoother than
yesterday!
hope you all have a successful day
at whatever it is that you do
xoj
