back in the studio...

 yesterday was a 'down' day... where i couldn't get motivated

to do much besides finish my video,  do laundry and sit on the 

swing for 5 minutes... (the above quote is something i am

working on... and probably always will be)

 weekends are my biggest blocks of time to be creative for myself...

so i always try to pack so much into them, but it felt really good

to just have some down time. i actually fell asleep while reading
outside in the sun!

 i am also in the outside studio working again, which is

both good and deceiving... good because i get fresh air, have

beautiful light and feel inspired, but it also means it feels

like summer and it's not quite here yet (summer vacation that is...)

 i went to the art supply store last week and surprised myself

with buying a whole bunch of new paint! i usually buy one

or two bottles each time, but this time - i majorly splurged...

they were having a sale and i want to continue working on

my children's book this summer, so now i will have color to do so.

they are not all new... again, it felt good to go against my

instinct of 'save save save' and invest in something

that brings so much joy to my life.

 i also gessoed a bunch of new small boards... for future use.

not sure yet what these will become:)

another phrase i am trying to incorporate into my life...
