 this is my suitcase that will be going back to india

with me. it's in my classroom right now, acting as

a receptacle for art supplies that the kids bring in.

i got my first donation today!!! glitter glue, pencils

oil pastels, small containers of acrylics and glue sticks.

next to the suitcase, we are writing ideas for projects,

and thinking of ways the students can be involved

in this experience... they came up with a great project

yesterday that we are going to call "my happy place".

i heart my 6th graders:)

i also wanted to bring over some kind of collaborative

art project that could act as a symbol of peace... a gift

for the kids i will be visiting. i think a garland of these

strung up on colorful string would be nice for the peace

library at rogpa charitable trust... 

i am so excited... but know that i have so much to

do before my trip. thankfully, i have almost a whole

month to finish everything i need to...
