kirtan benefit

 we hosted a kirtan benefit today for the

"art supplies for india" project i have been raising money for...

and it was AMAZING...

 it was amazing because the people who came out

to play music and sing were AMAZING...

 i am back to that state of beyond gratitude...

overwhelming thankfulness...

where words come up short to describe

how big my heart feels at the moment.

 we sang, laughed, danced, ate food, got tarot cards read,

ate more food, played with old toys, had a tribute to our

dear friend augie, sang for people over in the middle east...

connected, met new people...

 so the total now that has been raised including art supplies

that have been donated, from selling my artwork on etsy,

from getting donations from generous people

is... $1700 !

and that doesn't include the suitcase full of art supplies that

my students + colleagues brought in... plus the projects they made up

for the kids in india to do... plus a collaborative coloring book,

plus a beautiful strand of peace flags!
