side note open doors and snow day productivity

just finished this...
inspired by this...
a photo taken in dharamshala, which is
where i'm headed back to in march.
the planning stages are fun, but tedious, especially
since lots of people are going this year, not just me.
but i am really looking forward to being there again.
(it is settled, they just don't make paint bright enough
here in the U.S. to capture these brilliant hues)
on the home front (which is where i am, due to another
snow day home from school!) go ridgefield, for being
slow on the snow removal - thank you from the bottom of my heart.
even in the midst of winter, where everything out there
is frozen and covered in a foot of white stuff, there is
new growth... meet our baby fig tree:)
i am about to make more tea...
wish i could have a cup with one of you today!

*side-note.... isn't it interesting that obstacles can
be opportunities? my heart broke when i saw the children
in dharamshala who are helped by  tong-len,
but after i got a "no thank you" to volunteer there,
i found another place while looking for guest houses...
check this out:
please keep your fingers crossed! i really hope i can
work with them...
if not, maybe another door will open.

I love the idea of working with children via art to work through emotions. Have an interesting trip. Love the elephant.

I'm totally with you on the snow day thing; I saw on another post that you found a place in India to teach, so congrats!
