hanuman chalisa

i am grateful for these little books...
i made them to help me learn the hanuman chalisa
they each contain the english version and the
transliteration version (sounded out so we westerners
can sing along)
so whenever i am at the post office waiting in line,
have a few moments to sing or traveling anywhere,
i can whip one of these little 3"x3" books out
and study.
the one on the right came with me to india,
and helped me sing the hanuman chalisa in neem karoli baba's
room at his ashram... that is his hand
when i am stressed out - i lay mine over his and feel
much better...
those are his feet... i recently thought i lost this book,
so i quickly made another, feeling lost without it.
i plan to make some more and give them to my friends
who are learning to sing it.
i can now do it without looking at the book, even
though i get stuck on one or two lines...

these are some of the things that help me
along my path - i hope that you all have some of your
own that aid in your journey:)
namaste,
jennifer

Oh my God, these are brilliant. So much better than the folded, wrinkled print out of the transliteration I printed off the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram website (the one in NM not India).

ps: my word verification was "wootiest." That should definitely be a word, as in "I am the wootiest of the wooty!"

these are wonderful books and i love it that you carry them with you to read in a spare moment and to i'm thinking, remind yourself of the spiritual aspect of life even when waiting in a line.

thanks m! - yes, i had the folded piece of paper for a long time, then i gave it away and never printed another... but i am always losing things!

sukipoet - thanks! yes - even waiting in line is a spiritual act... if you can do it with mindfulness and realize that it's just an inconvenience and not a problem;)
