reminders2bepresent turns 3!
i was recently checking out my "pure inspiration" blogroll
and saw that two blogs i follow just turned 3 years old.
i thought to myself, how old is my blog and when
i checked my archives - guess what? - it too is 3 years old!
so i got to thinking... how much has gone on in my life
in the past three years...
two trips to india, one with a partner, one solo...
one solo art exhibit...
a two person art exhibit...
my studio was built by Will...
moved my art classroom twice...
many, many kirtans...
workshops at kripalu and omega...
one silent retreat in VA at lotus garden...
partial renovation of kitchen and
total renovation of powder room
both done by Will...
three years of study with pema and
finished a thangka painting of white tara...
heartbreak, loss and total renovation of mind...
almost complete 360 turn on how i saw/see my future...
learned the hanuman chalisa...
saw many many movies...
created wednesday night date nights...
started hoola hooping again:)...
painted over a thousand paintings...
wrote and illustrated a book dummy to send out to publishers...
(with the support of my lovely book writing partner)
created a cd of my own kirtan songs...
started an etsy shop...
many art visits with my niece...
read a bunch of really good books...
made many beautiful new friends...
got hugged by amma...
sang the hanuman chalisa at neem karoli baba ashram...
tons of trips to williamsburg brooklyn and manhattan...
started a tradition of brunch at jane with my soul sisters...
gave over 2000 shots of insulin to my cat angelo...
had my first kirtan at our home...
learned how to use a mac computer...
two studio sales... and two holiday bazaars...
started a collaborative journal with Will after almost 20 years of friendship...
tons of tears...
tons of laughter...
many many good memories...
endless gratitude.
three years ago...
today.
happy birthday to all you bloggers out there
who year after year share your hearts and souls with us.
