last night i went to a kirtan tribute to ma chetan jyoti

it was all my favorite things wrapped up into one...

devotion

singing

dancing

connecting

community

ceremony

i never got to meet ma chetan jyoti

but you could feel her presence there last night...

when i went to india for the first time,

i celebrated my 37th birthday

listening to her music, dancing by myself

on a terrace overlooking the mighty 

flowing ganga river, in haridwar...

it's where she spent a lot of time.

his name was deepak and he sang the most 

angelic krishna kirtan i have ever heard... ever.
