ten reasons why i chose the 12 hour kirtan
over going to my 20th year h.s. reunion
(a decision that was hard to make...)
1. connecting with like-minded souls...
(not to say that i wouldn't have found them at the reunion)
but i struggled with that a bit in highschool....
2. singing and dancing where there is no alcohol...
3. learning more about bhakti and why i love it so much
4. not having to talk about the "kid" thing at all
which may or may not have been brought up at the reunion,
but most likely it would have...
5. getting to see an authentic hanuman mandhir in boston!
6. to be able to get such an amazing amount of that love vibe...
it's so hard to explain it in words...
although, i'm sure that was going on at the reunion too.
7. it was most likely a bit of an escape from reality
and having a 20th h.s. reunion is really real...
if you know what i mean?
8. making connections to the world i want to be a part of
which does not rely on facebook updates
9. i didn't want to have to put the cute coctail dress
that i bought at anthropologie, on and a smile...
10. om namah shivaya!
i saw the photos though, and it looked like
a good time was had by all at the reunion...
i would have liked to have seen some of the people
and reconnected after 20 years!
guess it will have to wait til the 30th reunion...

What great photos you took! It was wonderful meeting you, thanks again for the mehndi heart, which looks nice and dark today.
Oh and by the way, here's a pic of J and I from way back when in Noho...
