i'm back...
had some time in the studio this weekend,
to just play a bit...
carved some more stamps for yet
another series of hands... (see above on studio table)
this was a little gift for sdas,
i tried to capture the colors of govardhan hill...
the sunset that night and the krishna blue found
everywhere... but now i know that
i should have written
"om namo bhagavate, vasudevaya"
instead of hare krishna...
that is the sound that emanates from the hill
didn't make it to nyc to the kirtan on saturday,
but was lucky enough that shyamdas had
another one at yogascape last night,
which more than made up for it...
he moved around a lot so it was really hard
to capture him in a drawing...
but i think i got the harmonium and layers of fabric
in the one below...
he had some insightful stories
and i liked how we sang in between them...
very sweet kirtan
