my so-called unplugged weekend

my weekend started with staying at school

on friday until 8pm working on painting muslin

for my prayer flags...

had fun with mehndi - the occasion is diwali...

 

woke up and baked banana bread with dark chocolate flakes

made yummy juice and cooked butternut squash and leek soup...

this is the new composter that will got for our deck.

winter composting will be a lot easier now!

 

 

 

then spent almost the entire day today painting...

watched a movie and caught up on my inspiration

with surfing my favorite blogs.

 

i was planning on being "unplugged" this weekend,

but i ended up being on the computer a bit...

it helps me stay connected, fuels my creative fire,

i use it for research

and for listening to my favorite kirtan music.

i guess i'll have to try again,

but next time go somewhere these big

glowing screens don't exist:)

thankfully, i ate mindfully (remembering Thich Nhat Hanh's words)

and that made up for being plugged in...
