healing color

thankfully last night i got some time

in my studio... sometimes when i have

those emotional days, i end up feeling

a bit like i've been hit by a bus...

making art with bright colors

and meaningful images sure is healing.

and so is coming to school the next day

and seeing all of these projects:
 

silk mandalas by 8th graders

plaster wrap Oaxacan Animalitos by 5th graders

and one of my favorite projects - the Fantasy Garden/Park

the 6th graders had to come up with an outside environment

that they would like to hang out in and create a miniature

version of it. these are some of the awesome results:
