symbols

i have always been fascinated with using symbols in my artwork
over the years with different series of works, they have changed...
they went from hearts, crowns, various female body parts,
swirls and eyes to
buddhas, elephants, birds, houses, butterflies, hindu gods and goddesses...
i just read a cool Quiet Girl post about this and
have always thought our artworks were similar...
she inspires me to think deeper about the meaning of these
symbols...
what symbols do you use???
namaste,
j

thanks cat, ann and seth!
these are pieces from last summer
that i never posted...
but the butterfly is still
going strong in my works of art...
something about their fluttering
around freely... and not ever staying in one place for very long that intrigues me... and how delicate and gorgeous they are... and how they make people smile when they see them...
hope you are all enjoying this present moment as well...
peace + freedom,
jennifer

Jennifer, I think we ARE long lost sisters!

Beautiful pieces! I love the butterflies and Buddhas and the muted, yet deep colorful tones.

Thank you for guiding me here! I'm going to be taking in your pieces for a while....

hugs,
Courtney
