paintings and words...

last night i took this painting that i did at least two years ago
and gave it a face lift. since it was painted on the same watercolor
block as my new series, i thought it would be fun
to transform it to illustrate my new colorful phase...
it was painted using all sepia tones...
i like it much better now:)
the funny thing about it is that i was thinking "transformation"
before i added color, that's what i was planning to write...
but i was distracted and ended up writing "transition" instead.
i didn't even realize that until i scanned it in minutes ago.
weird... and cool that art taps into stuff we don't
even plan, understand or know that we are feeling.
i will have to figure out what this means...

this is the sign i put out with my artwork during 700 voices.
while i had my paints out, i decided to pretty it up
with a paisley design...
i have always wanted to put my art on a blanket, with a sign
and walk away to see what happens...
well i did.
and each time i came back to the box beside it,
there was money in it.
i heart the universe:)
and people who like my art enough to buy it!!!
and... that i can make art that ranges from $2600 to $10.
namaste,
j

ooohh so sorry you tweaked your back. who knows why these gifts of respite come to us, i guess you needed to watch a few movies, perhaps there is a message that you are supposed to receive in one of them.....
