today - couldn't get enough of color

i painted this little lotus later on in the day
(inspired by my dress)
am thinking of putting another layer onto it,
possibly with the paisley stamps i carved last night
(see above)
i can't believe that i get paid everyday
to make art with kids...
and for myself sometimes:)

i got to play with encaustic paints this morning
as i introduced them to my 8th grade girls,
who loved them as much as i do!
the boys were busy making "wall-e" out of found objects...
i made this little thank you painting for marie and maddie
for helping with artbeats.
