i went to nyc yesterday to meet my travel partner
for the first time (and was so excited to connect face to face
and see that we are relaxed around each other
and are similar in many ways...
her father and brother were there and I got to see a
wonderful friend I haven't seen in a year...
someone who has influenced and inspired me in so many ways
we poured over the map and some books then went out
for a lovely indian meal...
bonnie sang us a chant that would bring us good luck on our trip
as warren gave us each a rolled up dollar to place onto
the beautiful statue of ganesh...
i didn't get to document much of our trip planning,
but instead made a mini video of my trip into and out of the city.
the kids dancing on the subway with the guy who just happened
to have just bought a drum, accompanied them.
it was one of those new york moments that i am so glad to
have captured on film...
i really paid attention to the colors, sounds, nature, buildings,
lights, people and everything else that was going on around me...
i too often zone out with my ipod on these trips...
it was nice to just be settled into each moment as it happened.
the song is another one for my "journey to india" exhibition
peace!
