i am doing a mandala project with my 8th graders
and i allowed them to choose whatever material they wanted to make their mandala out of.
a girl came up to me a couple of weeks ago and asked if she
could make hers out of nature and take a photo of it.
i thought - yes! cool!
she spent 45 minutes in the freezing cold out of the field today making this.
wow.
then i showed her andy goldsworthy:)

LOVE Andy Goldsworthy!!! I keep wanting to do a project inspired by his work, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe this summer...
