Hi Jen, I so wish I had known you weren't sleeping last night - it's so funny. I had a strong sense there was a friend I could have talked to, but my brain went to practical as in west coast! and I didn't actually think any of them would have appreciated a late night call! it was you!! dang, I could have used your sweet voice - but at least I have our pics together. love, Karin
hey karin, you definitely should have called! i was up til at least 1:30am carving my stamps... i slept that day when i left work early... hate when that happens. so how are you doing??? i thought of you many times today - hoping that your fever went down... waiting to see if john sent an e-mail update... hope you are well. i am still a bit under the weather, and even though i have so much to do this weekend, i am hoping to be on the mend soon. love, jennifer
so, are you up now? at 1:36 a.m., saturday night? I'm meandering through drawers, unpacking, nursing my back, getting dizzy and hallucinating and then suddenly being 100 5 normal and repeating the cycle again. Just another day post back surgery!! Fever is gone, I'm home, but other things I won't share with everyone are happening, are happening becasue really - you don't all want to know! hey karin, i am awake... it's 4:26am... and my cold has prevented me from sleeping yet again.. so i watched the rest of "il postino"... i'm sure you are sleeping by now. it's good to have you back home:) be well and enjoy the visit from your dad. xoj
au contraire, my sleepless friend! It was well after 7, light streaming through the windows, before my body allowed sleep to override pain - but if you are suffering with a cold, I doubt conversation would have helped you one dang bit! Too bad I didn't check back here though - I would have been hesitant to call, for fear of waking a slumbering WIll. John stayed away from me! So I watched unmemorable crap after SNL, and read everyone's profiles in blogcatalog that had to do with the arts. I thought it would work as a sleep enhancer, but no luck!
I hope you got some rest today, as well as some outdoor time in the sunshine, which sure looked beautiful from here!!
Watched a hard, ut pretty good movie - Goya's Ghost. JUst in case you want a reason to question organized religion and government! I'd rather be a starving artist than working, but governed by the Spanish Inquisition types... yeesh
