recycled project

hey all, this is the sample i made for my 8th grade "recycle" project
thanks to John County and Karin Bartimole - i had fun stuff to work with in my bag:)
the kids had an awesome time starting to make their sculptures - can't wait to share
those with you...

when i got socks - i thought - oh no!!!! what am i going to do with so many socks???
but the stethoscope totally looked like an elephant (of course)!

we all got to pick one thing out of the "community" box for our sculptures, so i chose a book cover for the elephant's body

after a couple hours... and a few hot glue sticks...

there was a crooked little nail that made a perfect ganesh tusk....

he wanted to write a thank you card with his orange crayon - thank you!!!
(i love my job - and my friends!)

Oh my Lord (Ganesh, of course) that is TOO funny!
I love him. So glad you were able to put old socks to good use :-)
John and I both enjoyed figuring out and recognizes the bits and pieces of your assemblage. Can't wait to see the kids work, too!!
love you, you creative woman, you,
Karin

Why couldn't I have had an art teacher like you in 8th grade?
