an old piece and inspiration for new ones

this is an older piece, but one that i felt i needed to revisit after spending the afternoon
with a wonderful artist Pema Rinzin and and his student/assistant/fellow artist Cindy at
the rubin museum of art. there are no words for how awe inspiring
it was to be able to actually paint directly onto
a traditional Tibetan painting.
it made me want to go back to detail in my own work, but how to do that
and still keep the simplicity... is still unknown.
it also inspired me to further learn about buddhism.
THANK YOU PEMA AND CINDY!
